ミラーリングは、バックアップの代わりにはなりません。
ミラーリングで守れる症状は、突発的な物理的故障だけです。
特に多く発生しがちな、徐々に劣化する症状は防ぐことができず、
少しずつデータが保管されるエリアを蝕んでいきます。
ミラーのような複数のドライブを積む構造であっても、
複数のドライブが少しずつ読めなくなりますので、データ損失を防げない訳です。
そして、自動バックアップも常に電源を投入し続けることになりますので、
ミラーと同じような傾向にあります。

A mirroring does not become instead of a backup.
The condition which can be kept by a mirroring is only sudden physical failures!
It cannot prevent the condition in particular that tends to occur mostly and that deteriorates gradually,
but it spoils the area where a data is stored little by little.
Since it becomes impossible to read two or more Driveses little by little even if
it is an architecture which stacks two or more Driveses like a mirroring, It cannot prevent a data loss.
And since an auto-backup will also always continue switching on a powersource,
It is in the same tendency as a mirroring.
